Terms of use

Last updated

By using Toddler Daybook (toddler-daybook.web.app) you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not skimmed past. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

A free tool

Toddler Daybook offers a free family play plan at /app/, a library of toddler activities, milestone pages, sample daily schedules and a corrected age calculator, for children from about 12 to 36 months. Using them needs no account and costs nothing. We may add, change or remove features, and we aim to keep the free ones available, but we cannot promise that the site or its sync will always be online. Keep a backup export of your family plan if losing it would matter to you.

Not medical advice

The site gives general, educational ideas for play and everyday routines. It is not medical, developmental or therapeutic advice, and it does not replace your child’s pediatrician, a therapist or an Early Intervention team. Nothing here diagnoses, treats or prevents any condition. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Milestones are for monitoring, not screening

Our milestone checklists paraphrase the CDC’s and describe what most children can do by a given age. They help you notice and talk about development; they are not a standardized screening tool and cannot diagnose or rule out a delay. The 0-4 learning scale in the family plan is an educational tracking rubric for choosing the next activity, not an assessment, and the plan’s suggestions are not a judgment of your child.

If your child loses skills they had, is not meeting milestones, or you are worried for any reason, talk to your pediatrician. In the United States you can also contact your state’s Early Intervention program for children under 3 directly, without a referral. How we use the CDC, AAP and WHO guidance is set out on sources and method.

Adult supervision and safety

Every activity is meant for an adult and a child together, and an adult must supervise the child the whole time. You know your child, your home and your materials, so you are responsible for deciding whether an activity, an object or a space is safe for them, and for stopping when it is not.

  • Check every object for choking size, small or loose parts, sharp edges and damage before use.
  • Keep button and coin batteries, cords, ribbons and strings out of reach, and never use water beads.
  • Stay within arm’s reach whenever there is water, even a shallow basin, and empty it right after.
  • Offer food and drink only while the child is seated and watched.
  • Stop if the child is upset, tired or unwell. No activity is worth a risk.

The safety notes on each activity are reminders, not a complete list of every risk. Activities use ordinary household items; we do not sell or endorse any product.

The family plan is encrypted in your browser and synced through our vault, as described in the privacy policy. Anyone who has your family’s share link can see and change the plan, so keep it private and share it only with the people who care for your child. You are responsible for what you and your caregivers enter. We cannot read, restore or recover a plan, and we may delete stored data that is plainly not a family plan or that abuses the service, such as automated junk writes.

Pro

Pro is coming soon and is not on sale yet. No payment is taken now. Joining the early-access list reserves the founder price and does not commit you to buy anything. When Pro opens, its price and terms will be shown before you pay, and everything in the free plan stays free. When Pro opens, it will be sold through Link, Stripe's reseller, as the merchant of record: Link will take the payment, send the receipt and handle the sales tax or VAT, which will be included in the price. The charge will appear on the card statement as LINK.COM* DELJAN BREGASI.

What Pro is planned to include is listed on the pricing page; how to ask for a refund and how the money comes back is in the refund policy.

Acceptable use

Do not try to disrupt the site or the vault, overload them with automated requests, probe them for vulnerabilities, read data that is not yours, or copy the site’s pages wholesale to republish them. Using the site for your own family, printing plans and activities for your caregivers, and sharing a link to a page are all welcome.

Our content

The site’s design, text, activities and code belong to Toddler Daybook. The guidance we rely on belongs to its publishers (the CDC, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the World Health Organization and the authors of the studies we cite); we paraphrase it in our own words and link to the originals.

Liability, in plain words

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using it, including injury or harm during an activity, decisions made on the basis of its content, or a lost or erased family plan. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for Pro in the twelve months before the claim, which for the free plan is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
